The Red Line

Entangled in the web of medical bills and pain, this painting was birthed from the harsh realities of a healthcare system that prioritizes profit over people. The red line that runs through the body symbolizes the commodification of the human experience, where individuals are reduced to mere objects to be treated or untreated and billed. A call to action, this piece urges you to reconsider the human cost of our current healthcare system and strive for a more compassionate and equitable world. This piece was made while physically bedridden, my mental health declined over medical greed and pain, my kids encouraged me to continue painting.
