I find beauty in maps and this topography map is just perfect for adding soft beautiful silk and covering it with a delicate gossamer rain in hopes that one day our country will return to softer more delicate and simpler times.

  • This textile piece includes a mulberry fiber piece and mulberry fiber gossamer with silk sari remnants. I have enhance the "rain" in the gossamer with threads and beads. The vibrant colors of the topographic map inspired the colors of the silk and my vision of the art piece.
