Shinrin-yoku

Cross the bridge to bridge the gap. That is, the gap between our fast-paced consumer society and the slow calm of nature.

Shinrin-yoku is the Japanese practice of forest bathing. Studies show that it has many benefits such as reduced stress, more energy, and enhanced cognitive function.

I find connecting with the forest brings balance to my often hectic daily life. The trees have a way of calming my mind and sparking the creative fires within. Many of my most creative times are spent surrounded by trees using all the senses to experience the natural beauty around me.
