Mujer, Woman

Mujer, Woman is my way of capturing the strength and softness that exist together in womanhood. I used my signature technique (small and colorful strokes) to show movement and energy, almost like the figure is shifting, breathing, alive. Every little dash of color feels like a different emotion, a different experience, all coming together to create something whole, just like a woman’s journey.

I wanted the figure to feel both grounded and free, like she’s resting but also ready to move. The flowing background adds to that feeling, almost like a breeze carrying her forward. There’s something powerful in that: women are always adapting, always pushing forward, yet still holding onto their own sense of self.

This piece is really a tribute to that balance, to the beauty and resilience of women in all their forms.
