Immigrant Trunk

In the late 1800's Norway was un under developed country, leavinf no land, trades and more for the growing population. Many people came to America to start a new life and career in this new land. This is true of my paternal grandparents, who traveled from Hemsedal in the Hallingdal valley. They packed a trunk with all their possessions to travel by boat across the waters to America.
