Earthly Tarot

After listening to a podcast about the origins of tarot I was inspired to make my own deck. I did not know much about each tarot card or its meaning so I researched each card and started thinking which animals would go with each card. Some were easy like The Emperor - an Emperor Penguin and The Lovers - Lovebirds. As I got to the Death card the corpse Flower immediately came to mind leading me to add more plants into the deck. Each card subject has a connect to the tarot card name or meaning, some are surface level like The Hermit - Hermit Crab but others go deeper like The Devil - Bower Bird (card meaning can be materialism and bower birds collect materials to decorate their elaborate mating sites). Each card name and connection can be found on a supplemental document.
